Our Hall

The Village Hall underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2023, transforming it into a vibrant local venue serving not only the immediate community but also extending its appeal to a wider audience. Its versatility allows for a plethora of events, ranging from formal occasions to casual gatherings, accommodating various needs such as social, business, and commercial functions.

Among the diverse range of events and regular bookings are Bingo nights, trivia quizzes, themed game and pizza evenings, pop-up pub experiences, cinematic showcases, artistic endeavors like craft clubs, children’s parties, wedding celebrations, commemorations, theatrical performances, the annual village fete, craft markets, wellness activities such as yoga and meditation sessions, and fitness classes.

Originally constructed in 1905 as a farmhouse, the Village Hall seamlessly blends its historic charm with modern amenities. The building features a spacious main hall complemented by a contemporary extension at the rear. Equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi and internet access, state-of-the-art audiovisual facilities, a fully functional kitchen, a well-stocked bar, and ample parking available both at the front and rear of the premises, the Village Hall stands as a beacon of community engagement and cultural enrichment.

The Venue

Our main hall boasts dimensions of 10.5m x 8.5m, totaling 89 square meters of space. With flexible seating arrangements, we can accommodate various event types and audience sizes:

• Up to 150 individuals for standing room events
• A seated audience of up to 90 attendees
• Seating for 76 guests at tables

Ensuring comfort year-round, our venue is equipped with efficient heaters for brisker seasons. The space is fully furnished with Audio Visual amenities, featuring an automatic projector screen and blackout curtains to enhance your presentations or entertainment experiences.

For added convenience, our designated bar area, available for separate bookings, includes a Burco water boiler for tea and coffee preparation. We maintain a comprehensive inventory of bar glasses in assorted sizes, ensuring your beverage service needs are met. With the village hall committee holding a licensing permit, you can opt to have our staff cater to your event, or alternatively, apply for a temporary license to manage your own bar service.

Furthermore, we provide ample tables and chairs to accommodate your event requirements, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience for you and your guests.

The Culinary Hub

Our kitchen has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, boasting a modern setup equipped with all essential appliances. From a spacious fridge to a compact cooker and handy toasters, we provide everything necessary to facilitate your culinary endeavors.

Additionally, we offer a complete range of crockery, cutlery, and glassware, ensuring that your dining experience is both convenient and enjoyable.

To maintain efficiency and cleanliness, the kitchen area can be partitioned from the main event space during food preparation, allowing for seamless meal service without disrupting your event.

Our venue is complemented by ample parking spaces, facilitating convenient access for attendees. Additionally, the surrounding outdoor area offers the flexibility to extend your event outdoors, providing a delightful setting for al fresco dining during warmer weather. Multiple doors encircling the hall afford convenient access points and the opportunity to seamlessly transition between indoor and outdoor spaces as desired.

For evening events, external lighting ensures visibility and ambiance, allowing you to make the most of the outdoor space after dark. We also offer a small marquee, with the option to accommodate additional marquees if needed, enhancing the versatility of your event setup.
